The 17th April was our second drivers familiarisation day prior to our 2022 open days. The weather was warm & dry as those involved with the exercise prepared their locomotives. Thursday 14th April was a day to enter in the diary as it marked the completion of the Almondell circuit by Peter’s track gang. Saturday, 27th November was a lucky escape for Almondell given the ferocity of the winds & the damage inflicted elsewhere. Luckily, we only had three trees down, of which two fell across the Almondell circuit. Club members turned out to pay their respects to the fallen in all conflicts having been forced to miss 2020 due to CoVid restrictions.
