On Sunday 4th June, we operated our second public open day this year. The weather was good and we were kept busy with passengers all day. The final number carried being 678 passengers.
The driver experience was busy too and we had 3 guided tour parties. In the building there were two model railway layouts which were also very popular. One was our own ‘n gauge’ railway layout and the other an ‘O gauge’ display from the Pentland Model Railway Group.
On arrival the new roadside signs at either side of the entrance were clear for all to see.
The star attraction for children was the surprise of seeing the sheepdog and sheep at Memorial Halt. Drivers and Guards reported back that children loved them and would wave on their way past when on the train. Mysteriously the sheep would move about on its own ?
A few photos from the day.
