Our portable track was out in the sunshine at Progress Rail open day at their South Queensferry site. For those of you that don’t know, (and until I visited I didn’t either!) Progress Rail are a large foundry business that produce all the manganese steel castings for Network Rail & export similar to America for their railroads. It is a truly amazing set up and certainly the cleanest Foundry I have ever been in.
Our portable track was kept busy all day, and given its location in the full Sun it topped up the vitamin ‘D’ content of the crew a treat……
