Sunday, 14th August was a glorious day weather wise, the last hurrah before the storms we were warned. The opportunity was taken for a number of new locomotives to get out on the track & stretch their legs & even the oldies got a look in (with apologies to David!)
David prepares ‘Newliston Manor’ on the new turntable arrangement whilst Paul runs past with his new 5″ battery electric. It has a nice realistic sound card, but a rather difficult ‘deadmans’ button to master.
Meanwhile in the woods lunch is taken in the quiet surroundings of Brian’s memorial bench. Very comfortable it is too.
The locomotive is the venerable ‘Grace’ now 31 years old.
Meanwhile, the newbie is James & his A4. Boiler certificate granted, now is the time to put it through its paces & waiting patiently for the train is our youngest member!
