With all the visibly rapid progression of the building it is easy to overlook the progress towards completing the bridges. None the less there has been progress there too……
The whole of the viaduct was pressure washed to remove organic material and loose paint. The next stage is wire brushing, further primer to any bare metal now exposed, then on to painting. Meantime plastic cross batons, timber decking and screws are being ordered to enable the structure to be finished.
The Almondell circuit embankment has seen tremendous progress on its edge boards which sees the job nearing completion, at least as far as we can go at this stage.
