‘It’s controlled through an RC transmitter that you might use for model aircraft; picture heads this article of the one I have. This means it’s using all the correct channels and something like a phone call or notification won’t affect it.
You can get cameras that go on a drone and link to a 7 inch monitor that then mounts to the Radio Control handset. This is something I aim to do eventually. I am also going to have it connect to the coach brake system via the same kettle lead connectors, and I will be able to activate the coach brakes by flicking one of the switches on the handset.’
When we are allowed to reopen for public running, it will be interesting to watch the reaction of passengers to ‘driverless trains’!
