Public Open Day 7th May

The first open day to the public was held on Sunday 7th May.  The opening hours were extended from 10.30am to 4pm.  The first passengers arrived just after 10am but were happy to watch the final preparations at the station until the trains were ready at 10.30.

A new extended track experience for 2023 which also takes passengers across the bridge and a great run covering almost the entire site.

It was a busy day with a queue but the waiting time was not too long. The driving experience on the other tracks was popular with children. There were also a few guided tours of the site showing the work in progress and good viewpoints to watch the trains.

In the building there was a ‘n gauge model railway which attracted great interest.
