As part of Scottish Widows social involvement programme employees are able to work with charitable organisations for a day. The Almondell Model Engineering Centre project was chosen as a worthy cause by three of their employees. Instead of dealing with paperwork and other such desk bound activities they had a day in the fresh air humping heavy logs out of the woods! They made a considerable impact on clearing and burning one section of the site and as a bonus, they said they enjoyed themselves.
