The February 13th meeting of the Probus Bathgate Club was attended by nearly 50 members who had come along to hear ESME’s Funding and PR Manager talk about the Almondell Model Engineering Centre. Peter outlined the developments to date and the plans to develop a Heritage Centre for the benefits of the local community.
Keith Jackson, Speaker Secretary of Probus Bathgate “on behalf of the members of Probus Bathgate I would like to thank you and your ‘Roady’ (Robert McLuckie!) for your excellent talk yesterday, it was great. The detail and knowledge you have between you is amazing and a credit to all your colleagues. Maybe we can come along as group to see progress for ourselves. In the meantime, good luck with your project”
Peter “Initially presenting to that size of group was a little daunting, but hey ho, it went well, and they followed up with plenty of questions and tremendous feedback afterwards”. The reaction when the aims of the AMEC are explained to different community groups is very encouraging.
We received a donation of £25.00 to club funds.
Indications are that Peter will be asked back later in the year and he has promised to have some exciting news for them.
