The Great Cockrow Railway

23Apr2018

From 19:30 until 21:00

A venture to turn a pig farm in Chertsey into one of the UK's premier 1/8th scale railways.  ESME member Paul has visited the GCR a few times, twice with club visits giving access to areas normally hidden from the public, and never ceased to be amazed at the scale of the venture it has become.
Could this story show how the Almondell Railway could be 50 years from now when most of todays ESME members have handed on the batton? Could the Great Cockrow Railway provide ideas for the future use of "The birds beak" at Almondell?
Join Paul on a tour, with photos and video taken over decades, and see some of the incredible locomotives, route and signalling hidden from the view of the M25.

Tea and biscuits afterwards.

Held in the Scout Hall, Station Road, Broxburn, EH52 5QU
